Events resume in Spring โ warmer weather brings the fish to life and us back to the bank. Follow us on Facebook for the latest updates.
AFTC events will start up again in the warmer months. Cold temperatures present health and safety considerations, and fish become largely inactive in winter โ so we use the quiet months to plan and prepare for a great season ahead.
After the winter break, AFTC sessions will resume as the warmer weather returns. As temperatures rise, fish become more active and conditions become safer and more enjoyable for everyone. Sessions will feature coached angling, junior school activities, and community days at local waters.

Our inaugural community event took place at Homestead Park Lake in Immingham โ and what a day it was. Glorious weather, great company, and โ most importantly โ no empty nets. Organised by Ken Reader and Dave Taylor, this first session set the tone for everything AFTC has become: inclusive, warm, and genuinely life-affirming.
This was the event that started it all โ receiving final approval just days before it took place.
All upcoming event dates and locations are announced on our Facebook page. Follow us to make sure you never miss a session.
