Passionate anglers, dedicated coaches, and community builders — meet the founders of Angle for the Community.
Ken is one of the founding members of Angle for the Community and brings years of hands-on angling experience to every session. As a qualified and DBS-checked coach, Ken is passionate about using fishing as a vehicle for wellbeing — creating safe, welcoming environments where people of all backgrounds can discover the therapeutic power of the waterside.
Ken leads many of AFTC's community sessions and junior fishing schools, bringing patience, expertise, and genuine care to every cast.
Dave is a co-founder of Angle for the Community and a driving force behind the organisation's growth and community reach. Working alongside Ken since the very beginning — including the inaugural event at Homestead Park Lake in August 2022 — Dave brings organisational dedication and a deep belief in angling's power to change lives.
His commitment to making fishing accessible and his work building partnerships with local and national organisations has been central to AFTC's success.
We believe the waterside should be open to everyone — regardless of background, ability, or experience. No one should be excluded from the benefits of angling.
Connection is at the heart of everything we do. From the bankside to the classroom, we build communities that support each other through shared purpose and outdoor experience.
We teach responsible, conservation-minded angling. Every participant learns the importance of protecting the natural habitats that make our sport possible.
Ken, Dave and the team would love to welcome you to an AFTC session. Check our upcoming events or follow us on Facebook for the latest news.
